    Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Louis Valencia, DC, CSCS: Dr. Valencia resides two miles from where he was born in San Francisco. He was raised in Marin County where the outdoor active lifestyle became a way of life, and at the young age of 16 years old he went to work as a fitness trainer to help others achieve their health and fitness goals. He has continued to do so in the San Francisco Bay Area as a personal trainer ever since 1984. In his zeal toward health he wanted to provide more than just fitness and nutrition advice to his clients, so he decided to expand his skill set to offer chiropractic sports care, physiologic therapeutics, active rehabilitation, fitness training, ergonomics, and occupational health promotion. He has been providing such services in San Francisco since 1995.     I grew up in Los Angeles, CA then moved up to the bay area to attend San Francisco State University to obtain my degree in Kinesiology. While graduating with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, I earned a certification of Certified Personal Trainer by the American College of Sports Medicine. From playing basketball and other sports, I found a passion for fitness.  My decision to become a trainer started with a freshman that didn't know how to use the weight room.
