Whether it be playing a pick of game of football or basketball or simply doing a quick full body circuit; moving around, activating muscle, pushing myself and others to new limits while achieving fitness goals through an active lifestyle is something I’m truly passionate about. Haven played sports throughout high school and some in college, staying fit and routinely training has always been in me and since then I’ve taken that passion and love for fitness decided to study that in school (B.S. Exercise Science) and make that my career as a trainer. Darius was very enjoyable to work with. He was pleasant, professional, punctual, easy to communicate with, organized, thorough, and knew how to push me enough to help me achieve my goals. I had weekly sessions with Darius and during each session I sweat more than ever before, even though I was only weight lifting and in a cool basement. Darius was very knowledgeable about how to perform the exercises correctly, how to adjust them if necessary, and how each exercise worked. He would write out a complete workout plan for the whole week and our session would go through all the exercises to ensure that I could do them correctly and was prepared for the upcoming week's workout routine. We did a lot of leg exercises and by the end my thighs had grown so much that I could barely fit into some tighter-fitting pants that I had. I enjoyed my training sessions with Darius and am grateful that we got to work together and that I was able to learn from him.

As a versatile athlete-during her childhood she also performed ballet and was on a synchronized swimming team . Her well-rounded sports background and years of experience have given rise to her passion for physical health and wellness. Kelsea has a BA from McDaniel College and has furthered her fitness education by earning her NASM personal training certification. I've had trainers before from Svetness who were good in keeping limber, but after about six months with me in 2018, Allison set out explicit goals by the end of 2019 that relate to limber, strength, flexibility, balance and persistence. She is tough. She is stretching me....but she is keeping me on track. Life is good.

I’ve been a mobile personal trainer since 2017. Training clients in their homes, parks, and gyms, I help them meet their health, strength, weight, and fitness goals, by designing and implementing a progressive exercise prescription, based on abilities. Performing exercise fitness tests to determine level of fitness, and establish a baseline for training, I record and monitor each session for progression, modify and adjust the prescription, to keep clients engaged and on track to achieve desired results. Workouts consist of cardiovascular, strength and endurance training using body weight exercises, weights, and resistance bands. Stability ball for balance, and floor exercises to increase flexibility and core strength, are used creatively, to achieve effective results. Sanitized equipment can be provided. My personal training sessions are fun and engaging. They make a difference in people’s lives, and help them maintain a healthy, independent lifestyle, and can make a difference in yours!

My name is Mimi, and I'm a NASM-certified personal trainer who strives for inclusivity and ensures people of all abilities are able to train. My fitness background started in high school sports, where I participated in softball, track and field, and cross country. Although I wasn't the fastest or strongest person on my team, I'm motivated to help others achieve their goals. From sports, I took that disciplined mindset into martial arts, specifically aikido, which I have been training for 4 years. I have also been independently training my sister, who has mild intellectual disability. Everyone deserves to live a healthier life, and I'm happy to help you achieve your goals.

Hello my name is Gbatoe James Torh, but you can call me James. I was born in Liberia in a small village named Monrovia, Liberia is a country in West Africa. In this Village there was a saying that was taught to me, which is "Your neighbor shoe is your shoe". Those words mean that if you have a shirt on your back and your neighbor is cold without a shirt, you will give your neighbor the shirt off your back. Those words are edged into being part of who I am and a big part of my identity. I believe in helping others so my career path was at first Nursing, before I changed to becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. I believe it was the right path for me to take because not only will I be helping people but I will be saving them as well. The gym saved me, it taught me to be resilient, and understand that anything that you want in life takes time and hard work. Working out teaches you the foundation of life, in that you can't skip any steps to get your goal you have to put in that work. Another ideology of mines is that we will leave from this earth no one can live forever, so for me before I leave I can acknowledge that even if I wasn't able to help a 1000 people I was at least able to help 1. I have been doing personal training now for 4 years started interning for my mentor Ace Morrow and his brand BodybyAce. He is still my mentor to this day, as he was the one that had got me started with Personal Training. I had played basketball in high school and was able to play for the Montgomery College Raptors for a semester before I transferred to University of Maryland, with my major still as nursing. I had met him one summer when I was working out with my friend who at the time was also a trainer, and in that interaction he told me I should be a trainer based on the way I view life in the aspect of growth. I was learning from him and in a couple months I studied took the test, passed and got my certification. I have also worked for different commercial gyms, my first commercial gym was La Fitness and I still work there. If you want a trainer that believes in self improvement, and understands that this is a journey, a step by step one that will turn you into a better version of yourself then James Torh is the trainer for you.
