Nia, a Virginia native, has been in the sports and fitness industry for most of her life. From playing basketball and running track, to volunteer coaching in middle school, she developed a passion for sports at a young age. She went on to be a triple jumper on the Women's Track and Field team at James Madison University where she studied kinesiology. It was then that she realized she had a calling to help others improve their quality of life. Since graduating, she has coached high school track, various youth sports, and taught elementary school PE. Because of her track and field background, she specializes heavy in circuit and interval training, and pushing you to do and be your best. Nia is also an aspiring R&B artist, so she loves to sing and write music when she isn't helping others achieve their fitness goals!

Darius was very enjoyable to work with. He was pleasant, professional, punctual, easy to communicate with, organized, thorough, and knew how to push me enough to help me achieve my goals. I had weekly sessions with Darius and during each session I sweat more than ever before, even though I was only weight lifting and in a cool basement. Darius was very knowledgeable about how to perform the exercises correctly, how to adjust them if necessary, and how each exercise worked. He would write out a complete workout plan for the whole week and our session would go through all the exercises to ensure that I could do them correctly and was prepared for the upcoming week's workout routine. We did a lot of leg exercises and by the end my thighs had grown so much that I could barely fit into some tighter-fitting pants that I had. I enjoyed my training sessions with Darius and am grateful that we got to work together and that I was able to learn from him.

I’ve been a mobile personal trainer since 2017. Training clients in their homes, parks, and gyms, I help them meet their health, strength, weight, and fitness goals, by designing and implementing a progressive exercise prescription, based on abilities. Performing exercise fitness tests to determine level of fitness, and establish a baseline for training, I record and monitor each session for progression, modify and adjust the prescription, to keep clients engaged and on track to achieve desired results. Workouts consist of cardiovascular, strength and endurance training using body weight exercises, weights, and resistance bands. Stability ball for balance, and floor exercises to increase flexibility and core strength, are used creatively, to achieve effective results. Sanitized equipment can be provided. My personal training sessions are fun and engaging. They make a difference in people’s lives, and help them maintain a healthy, independent lifestyle, and can make a difference in yours!

Allison is the right trainer for me, an 83 year-old woman in good shape (post-two new hips) who intends to remain so. I've had trainers before from Svetness who were good in keeping limber, but after about six months with me in 2018, Allison set out explicit goals by the end of 2019 that relate to limber, strength, flexibility, balance and persistence. She is tough. She is stretching me....but she is keeping me on track. Life is good.

Mohamed has been an athlete since childhood. He played football (soccer) for 16 years as a sticker and won his high school tournament while awarded the best player in his school 3 years in a row. Hi, everyone! My name is Johnny Calhoun! I have lived in Raleigh, NC since 2001. I'm originally from Prestonsburg, Kentucky (mountains). I played football, bodybuilding & power lifting in high school and college. I graduated from Morehead State University with a BA degree in 1992 in Recreational Therapy & Health Education. I retired as a Federal Officer with the Federal Prison System as a Recreational Specialist and Health Education Specialist for staff and inmates for 5 institutions from 2001 to 2022 (21 years). My specialty’s are in Fitness, Health & Wellness Fairs, Nutrition, Personal Training and Group Exercise (Bodyweight, Aerobics, Tabata, Circuit Training, TRX, Kettlebells, Dumbbells, Bar, Agility drills, Sports drills as well as many other formats. I have over 30 years of work experience in the fitness industry. Federal Prison System, Mental Health Hospitals, Apartment/Condo communities, Retirement communities, Gyms, Mobile and Online/Virtual settings. Current Personal Training & Group Fitness Instructor current certifications: NFPT- Certified Personnel Trainer & Master Personal Trainer (Strength Training Specialist, Endurance Training Specialist and Nutrition Fitness Specialist), Functional Training Specialist, Cancer Recovery Specialist and MS Specialist. ACE-Senior Fitness Specialist and Therapeutic Exercise Specialist.
