Biography
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. It would be a great honor to work with you. Wherever your journey takes you, I wish you the best. Here’s a little about me, my approach and background. First and foremost, I believe we need to reconcile discipline, joy, activity, and meaningful fitness. Fitness, activity, athleticism should be stimulating and fun. Enough so that participation alone offers notable intrinsic value. At the same time, consistency, goals, and intention require discipline and perseverance will be key. My goal will be to have you be disciplined and consistent about things that bring you joy. Creating a relationship in which the joy gives purpose to the discipline, and discipline feeds the joy. For example, losing 10lbs so you have more bounce for your volleyball league, and the experience you have with your body creates gratitude and love for yourself. Gaining the strength to hike with a 40lb pack so you can hike the PCT, and see sunsets that will change your life, with people you love. The conversation of what you love to do that is physical and active will be ongoing. The fitness regimens I design for you will be continuously tailored as your sensibilities evolve. I also believe in the incredible, therapeutic benefit of exercise psychologically, physically and spiritually. This discussion will be a central theme. We will also be extremely intentional with technique, and proper scaling to ensure that our workout regimen will make you stronger and more resilient only. We will always be working with the mind to avoid injury and create sufficient durability and capability to react quickly and dynamically, should the need arise. Across all scenarios, the fitness we pursue will make us more resilient. Full range-of-motion movement, connective tissue strength, muscular strength, flexibility and a powerful heart will all be focuses. I am a stickler for technique. I have been a life-long athlete. I grew up playing football, basketball and running track, from little league throughout my time at Upper Arlington High School, in Columbus, OH. Upper Arlington staffed personal trainers from the Ohio State University, to work closely with all student-athletes. Strength and conditioning regimens were sport-specific and personalized, with four days per week of strength training, six days per week of conditioning. Progress was closely tracked and tested, with clear metrics, goals and expectations. Spending four years in this environment, under the guidance of experts, gave me an invaluable education in fitness theory, and application, across several disciplines. In addition, as an athlete I did countless repetitions, gaining practical knowledge that can only be attained through practice. After high school, fitness, nutrition and wellness have remained my great passions. I have a wealth of knowledge in body-mechanics, hypertrophy, conditioning, injury rehabilitation, durability, running technique, sprinting technique, agility technique, various strength training approaches and philosophies, longevity, and detoxification from environmental contaminants. As the nerd that I am, I have kept records of basically all the high quality information I have encountered and I thoroughly enjoy sharing source material, and discussing. With all clients, I encourage a dynamic in which they feel welcome to challenge any idea that does not make sense, and to ask all and any questions. NOTE: I am *not* currently certified by The American Council on Exercise.

Review for Francisco
Great for the first session! Friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me a routine that was not too complicated for a beginner.
